Apparently "Asmaa" isn't the easiest name to pronounce. Whities tend to call me "azma" regardless of how many times I try to correct them.
And so I find it highly problematic that my supervisor at the hospital would make a joke about my name sounding like "asthma." After she mentioned my name, her husband thought she was going to buy inhalers. Really, supervisor? Is that an appropriate joke for your position?
I'm going to eat cheetos.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
That joke is appropriate BECAUSE of her position. If she had any less authority, she couldn't have made that joke, because she could have gotten fired!
HEY stop laughing! I have a beautiful name and it hurts me when people butcher it!
Well, it doesn't hurt me hurt me. It's more like...listening to someone's nails scrape against a chalkboard.
You do have a beautiful name. I
I want cheetos.
I never said anything about your name. The joke wasn't clever at all. I'm laughing at the situation. Is that okay?
Sara, I'll get you some cheetos today :D
Lol Anon...of course you can laugh. I was only being facetious :P (I hate that I just used the word facetious. It's one of my least favourite words in the English lamguage. More on that later.)
cheetos are bad for you
KitKat is also bad for you. So?
it is ok; for a suprevisor to break the ice maybe between you and her; I am just sayin; I mean you should be happy that it sounded like "Asthma" it could sound like "Ass-ma" and they probably thought of it; but maybe they choosed "Asthma" just to make you less offended; some mangers and supervisors could be pain I am just sayin;
HTG
HTG, I prefer ass-ma any day! And she's been my supervisor for 6 months - there is no ice to break :P
