Rise and Fall...
My mom is funny. When someone asks her about her kids, she has this list prepared in her mind with exactly what to say (big family). From this virtual list (similar to a shopping list), she reads out everyone's name, what they're studying, and a bunch of other wonderful facts about them.
Except, on her list, I've been 16 years old for the past four years and I go to Ryerson. Oh well.
Actually, I was applying for a job the other day and this is the conversation that happened between myself and the manager:
Her: how old are you?
Me: errr, almost 20.
Her: Okay, because you have to be 18 or above to work here.
Me: Do I look younger than 18?
Her: Yeah, you look 16.
Me: Cool.
Her: Well, whatever you're doing, it's working.
Sometimes I want to stop people, even random people and just tell them that nerds need love too.

You definitely don't look 16, but you do have really nice skin, so maybe you do.
When are you finished exams? My last exam is on the 10th (and yes, I'm aware it's a Saturday ... that's when my exam is 9am!).
Oh and I was at UTM yesterday and I saw Maryam A. (I hope you know who I'm refering to, I just don't want to type her last name and have everyone know I'm talking about her). It was so nice. We need to have one big catch up party - with food and various cakes.
OMG! Maybe I'll have one over the break, because we all know my mother isn't going to be here ... PAR-TEY!
Looking young is great especially if you feel young :D
Assalaamu Alaikum :D
...you're not even 20 yet? AWW. I feel old.
And well at least you don't look 12 and don't sound 12 ... I'd rather have people telling me I look 16 haha
what job were you applying for?
& the nerd needing love part...you look intimidating plus you've got the baggy clothes look that makes it look like you are ready to bully someone, so work on that
SMILE :)

The first link is sort of expensive, but i'm sure they are still of interest.
when I was 16, people thought I was 20.
(Someone even asked me what I do for a living)
Sara, haha thanks for that T-shirt site. I laughed at the "I heart Arabians" one. Listen, we really do need to get together. And I support, to the fullest, the idea of having, and eating various cakes. So, yeah, I'm waiting for you to invite me over. I'll bring a cake.
'liya, there's nothing bad about looking young, except when you feel old. A lot of people are surprised when they find out I'm only 19. They think I'm older.
Squeeky, yeah then there's always the random person who thinks I'm married with children.
Muhammad, I like looking intimidating, but I'm far from being a bully. You know that! Thank you for your comment - I am smiling :)
Umar, it's the beard.
if you think it's big now, you shoulda seen it back then....
oh, and you're only 19?
wow... so i'm older than you
i thought it was the other way around.
Girl if you look intimidating then you'll scare all those proposals away!
im gonna take a wild guess and say that you're the same anonymous fool who left that comment on my blog
Anon, yeah man, they're lining up for me.
Asmaa,
I'm loving ur blog off...
and about u being 16 for four years now... i once told my dad that my sis (his daughter) is 21 and he's like, "BELAHI!!"
subhanaAllah, when they say 'you're living in the past,' it's not just a saying.
OMG! i'm turning 20 soon as well, this is crazy... want to get together, eat ice cream and cry?
(cry out of sheer happiness... :-S, that we're eating ice cream of course)
Amreeka, yes yes, ice cream is lovely - and eating it with you would be lovlier. Actually, eating mine AND yours would be loveliest.
I love that picture Asmaa ... haha adorable!!
Hahahaha!
Asmaa, are you really betwene 19 and 20? It's weird, I always thought you were years older than me. :) Cool!
Btw, between us girls, what do you to with your skin?! You've discovered the legendary Fountain of Youth and you're hiding it from us... no fair... :P
Bathe in milk. Try it. It does wonders for the complexion.
Wow, that's exactly what I do too!
