Shopping carts: a bitter diatribe

I live near a great big Loblaws (for those of you fobs who don't know - it's a grocery store). So, what tends to happen is that most people in my building go shopping to buy all their lovely food items at ridiculously expensive prices and they don't realize that they won't be able to carry all their stuff home. So I come home today, and there's this Loblaws shopping cart in my hall. It's annoying because you know Loblaws' shopping carts - they're freaking huge. Like, what the heck? Please, have the common decency to return the shopping cart! So the security guards in our building have to wheel the carts back to the store. Hahaha sucks to be them. And I have never done this, I swear.

Salam,

I love the automated self-checkout at Loblaws. And I dunno about your branch, but non-Caucasian folks are quite unheard of at my area Loblaws. Particularly because there's no dollar section there, lol.
"No Frill" & "BASIC FOOD" all the way!

Anon, my arm is fine you violent person. The only reason you can take them all is that no one expects someone as small and "nice" as you to be so violent. :D

Bro, oh you crazy Brits call them trolleys. Haha :P

Who, haha basic food. That's my favourite store after dollarama. Yeah, the self-checkout is great fun. (I need to get out more)

Is not your fav. store called Food Basics :P

why do you live in a building? you're not new to Canada are you

Asmaa said...

$$, no, I don't live in a building because I'm new to Canada. That supposition is insulting.

I hate to break it to you, but not everyone lives in a house on Mississauga Road.

I say, Alhamdulillah.

Salam Asmaa,

It was nice seeing you Tuesday night. I must say my trip downtown was quite eventful... I'm still surprised that out of all the people in Toronto I was destined to bump into you - perfect timing too… I think you should fill everyone in about the amazing lecture we attended and how interesting things happened that night:P Take care inshallah, fr:)
