So...asmaa, do you watch grey's anatomy by any chance? (...just asking a random question)

@abdul - hahahaha

merideth is probably the most annoying character on that show.

Um, actually I do watch grey's anatomy. And I agree, Merideth is the lamest character.

Why? The post doesn't have anything to do with the show.

methinks in one of the voiceovers in the intro or in the ending merideth says that line. something about things getting worse before they get better.

i didn't make that connection until abdul mentioned it though. i'm still not 100% sure.

it's odd though, because things can get worse before they get worse. things can also get better before they get worse. things can also get better before they get better. all the permutations apply and therefore it's somewhat presumptuous to say that A follows B with any certainty.

we should adopt and be more accepting of this state of perpetual uncertainty.

I didn't get it from grey's anatomy. That would be cheap. Actually it's really just a therapeutic social work-y type statement. i.e. if your client seems to be getting worse, it's not always an indication that it will continue downhill. Rather, when a client is unearthing painful things and coming to terms with them, it's a painful process that will eventually lead to his/her betterment.

And here's to hoping that my initial statement is true. Because then I'll have "better" to look forward to :)

Asmaa - it was just a random question! But I like your "therapeutic social" reasoning, and its quite true sometimes.

BTW since we are on the topic of Grey's Anatomy, one more question, why do you think a 13 year old muslim female should not watch Grey's Anatomy?

Anonymous said...

because someone else is making decisions for her?

Umm wow this conversation has steered into a strange direction, but okay. A 13 year old should not watch grey's anatomy because...

1. It's pretty explicit for any 13 year old. And gory.
2. Because she should be doing better things with her time (lol).

And Adnan's reason :P

btw Abdul, who are you?
