Mischievous persons

I was sitting all peacefully at school yesterday, just doing some reading before class like a nice girl. Out of nowhere, my phone does that little vibrate thing that tells me I have a text message. This is what it said: "You have 20 minutes to move your car." I did't know who sent it, so I was puzzled for a moment. And then I started to panic...my thought process went something like this: I don't have a car that I have to move (or, do I? And since when?!) Maybe it's actually my dad's car that they want moved - but why would they contact me? And who are "they"?! And what do they want from me?! About 20 seconds later, I got another message: "You have 10 minutes to move your car." Now I thought, who is this freak that is sending me these messages? I start getting paranoid again. 20 seconds later: "Your car is being towed." 20 seconds later: "Your car is being crushed into a cube." 20 seonds later: "You have 20 minutes to move your cube." I am quite puzzled, and rather amused. The main point of this post is really to tell whoever it is that is sending me these messages thank you for diverting me at a time when I was bored. Well actually...there is really no "main point" to this post. Sorry.

I bet whoever sent it must've gotten a real kick out of it though!

Speaking of sending messages like that there's an activity called 'toothing'. You turn on your phone to search for all other phones in range that have their bluetooth activated, then you simply send texts to the people and say stuff. It's also a fun activity to do whilst in a crowded masjid and tell people you see their satr.

lol that was funny. If you knew you didnt have a car or didnt drive one then you can tell it was someone playing a prank. Nothing better to do. Did you ever find out who it was? Id like to know how they got ur number :/.

Like ap said, it is called toothing. I was watching the Discovery channel the other day on a program called Things we love to hate. It started talking about email and spamming and then it went on to cell phones and this blue toothing thing. And it's kinda scary actually though because a stalker can use this system to know your exact location, and listen on to what's going on in the room via the speaker phone and everything. Sometimes techonology is a little too much for me.

AbduRahim, that's true :)

AP, toothing?! That's what a baby does when it starts growing teeth damnit.

Haneefah, that's what I'd like to know. Grr >:|

Pedagocial thoughts, I guess there IS a point to my post. Which is that someone is stalking me. That's lovely.

H, hehe it was fun :)

Squeeky, that's from the simpsons?! Here I was thinking this person was creative enough to make up this series of messages...

Dear stalker, you disappoint me :(

The Simpsons episode from whence this came:

we should have a scooby doo type investigation into the identity of the stalker.

i will volunteer to play the role of scooby doo.

Wow.. if I got messages on my phone like that.. I'd be..

"umm... what the heck??"

Then...

"Ok, which one of my friends would play such a way...."

Yeah, I've got a few that would..

Toucan, thank you for enlightening us.

AP, yeah I think you're about as useless as scooby doo. Good idea.

Ian, I had the same "what the heck" reaction as you did.

Bilal, I don't know man...you might seriously freak someone out..especially if they actually have a car.

In other news, 2 more strange text messages today (this time at 3am):

#1 "FRIEND SEARCH: Friend detector activated...calibration complete, now searching...still searching...still searching...sorry, no friends found."

#2 "Warning! Excessive exposure to pointless text messages can cause French croissants to uncurl into their natural dough state"

eh?

LOL, If these are not plagiarised texts then you have a stalker with a sense of humor. Makes it much better... I guess on a stalker scale he/she would get 7 on 10.

oh .. you didnt know ..? that stalker of yours needs to get his own material!
