"Protect your banana!"

Do you like Bruised Bananas?

You know the feeling, just when you fancy eating that banana you've been carrying around, you dig it out from the bottom of your bag to discover it looks like it has gone a few rounds with Mike Tyson.

How many times have you taken your banana to work or school only to find it transformed into a black inedible mess? Only hours before your banana was perfect, now it is just fit for the bin.

How can you stop this happening to you again? Transport your banana in a BananaGuard and never throw your banana away again!

  • This sturdy plastic case is designed to fit the majority of bananas.
  • Comes in 9 Fantastic Colours.
  • Easy Snap/Click opening and closing action.
  • Dishwasher Safe.
  • Great for use in:

We Brits love our bananas. Yearly consumption in the UK currently stands at 13kg a head. Considering the population is around 60 million, thats a lot of bananas. Not surprising really as bananas are very good for you. Packed with energy, fibre and vitamins. Rich in potassium and low in calories.

Its time you returned the favour and took more care of your banana.

And whatever you do don't store your bananas in the fridge. It leads to a very black banana.

I am laughing out loud! Especially at the idea of a Banana Holster! I can just imagine someone toting their banana on their belt like a gun. Heehee.

You know, it's actually not a bad idea. It's true that bananas do get all messed up when you put them in a bag with other stuff and carry it around.

Sara, I so don't want one!

Tasneem, glad you agree with my...scaredy-cat...hehehe.

Mars, yeah I don't think one of those things is feasible for you. You usually don't let food sit in your bag for too long anyways ;)

Abu Ilyas, that's true. But then it's a COLD black banana, so it's good. Psht, all you guys are racist against black bananas. tsk.

Elizabeth, well I have to admit that whoever thought this up is quite a clever individual, but that cleverness could be used to solve world hunger or something! Instead of making banana-eating more convenient for people who are already obese :)

Maria, exactly.

Sheryza, man don't take pointers from me. hehehe :P

Okay, so I'm not saying I want one or anything. But not having these things won't cure world hunger. (Not having one will keep one more item of cheap plastic crap out of the landfills, though.)

I do believe that anything that helps people to eat good food and to take good food with them rather than fast-food it is potentially a good thing. And bananas are healthy, not cholesterol-packed or anything. I don't eat bananas anymore (usually) because they are grown far away and a lot of fossil fuels are burned in the process of getting them into my grocery store. (But then same story with coffee, so I'm a hypocrit. But I know I'm a hypocrit and am at least reducing the number of fossil fuels necessary to maintain my lifestyle.)

Why must yellow always be mellow and what makes green so sublime? This is a great product though it might get mistaken for a weapon if you try to take it through an airport.

Guard: "Put that plastic knife down"

You: "It's not a plastic knife. It's a banana! It protects my banana!"

Guard: "Okay, put the banana down!"

Afterwards...
Guard: "These terrorists are getting more innovative each year... now they're using fruits to hijack planes! We need to create a fruit detector to stop them now..."
