ps: I want your first-born son

My little sister and I had an interesting MSN conversation just now (she's just in the other room by the way)...her nickname was this: "Cinderella, cinderella, you better run at the stroke of midnight." Me: you're not cinderella Me: face it, you have big feet Her: meaann! Me: I'm cinderella, okay. Her: more like rumpelstiltskin

Assalamu aleikum,
Haha, hilarious especially since we were just talking about Cinderella today :D The Professor was pointing out how, in modern pantomimes of Cinderella they have the Prince change into his valet's common clothing and by chance meet Cinderella in a grove, where he has a chance to "fall in love with her". It shows how the social norms have changed - before it was fine for Cinderella to marry the Prince simply because he was a Prince, I mean what more is there to ask for? ;)

Interestingly I had an English folk version of Rumpelstiltskin where he was called "Tom-tit-tot" instead. But the beginning was really funny; the girl ate five pies, and the mother was so flabbergasted she begins to sing "my daughter has eaten five pies today," but then the King rides over and asks what she was singing, so the mother, embarassed, says "my daughter has spun five skeins today." And the rest is history : ) You can read it here: http://www.authorama.com/english-fairy-tales-3.html

You and your sister have some very strange conversations. My conversations with my brother often results in me laughing - at him. :)

Olde, man your comment sounded a lot like one of my professors talking, which was scary ;) BTW, there's no way I'm calling myself Tom-Tit-Tot.

Nauman, the dynamics of a family :)

Maliha, it's good to know I'm not the only freak who talks to my sisters over msn. Though they're in the next room.

AP, that was so great. Thank you for sharing.

Hajera, haha, perhaps.
